Illustration for Harper's Magazine

This spring, several of the SCAD graduate students got the opportunity to work with Harper's Magazine to illustrate some of their classic articles and stories.
The story that I got to illustrate was "The Town-Ho's Story" by Herman Melville. You can find the sketches I did for the story here.

Thanks Sam. I think if there was one thing I got out of the Academy, it was how to use shapes and value/color. I got to use a muted palette for this one, so the final is very similar to the grayscale drawing it was based off of.
