This spring, several of the SCAD graduate students got the opportunity to work with Harper's Magazine to illustrate some of their classic articles and stories.
The story that I got to illustrate was "The Town-Ho's Story" by Herman Melville. You can find the sketches I did for the story

Thanks Sam. I think if there was one thing I got out of the Academy, it was how to use shapes and value/color. I got to use a muted palette for this one, so the final is very similar to the grayscale drawing it was based off of.
